Paraguay Investment Forum 2026

What was presented in New York and what remains before investment is put into action

Paraguay Investment Forum 2026 took place on 21 and 22 September in New York to present opportunities and projects to international investors. The key analytical point is to avoid confusing visibility, meetings or interest with investment contracts already signed.

The main conclusion

Discover Paraguay was organized by the Government of Paraguay with Bank of America. Invest in Paraguay was organized with J.P. Morgan, and MIC had anticipated an audience of approximately 130 businesspeople and investors linked to the institution. Opportunities in infrastructure, logistics, manufacturing, agroindustry, forestry and energy were presented. The publications reviewed do not demonstrate that all these projects reached the contract, financing or construction stage.

01 · TWO-DAY FORMAT

Discover Paraguay first; Invest in Paraguay next

MIC reported that the first day, Discover Paraguay, was organized by the Government of Paraguay with Bank of America, focusing on the economy, opportunities and business dialogue.

The second day, Invest in Paraguay, was organized with J.P. Morgan and focused on specific projects and strategic sectors.

02 · WHO WAS THE AUDIENCE?

MIC anticipated approximately 130 businesspeople and investors

When announcing the second day, MIC indicated that Invest in Paraguay would bring together an audience of approximately 130 businesspeople and investors linked to J.P. Morgan.

This figure is not the total number of Forum participants, nor the number of projects, contracts or capital commitments.

03 · WHAT SECTORS WERE PRESENTED?

Infrastructure, logistics, manufacturing, agroindustry, forestry and energy

The publication about the second day mentions opportunities and projects linked to infrastructure, logistics, manufacturing, agroindustry, forestry and energy.

To move from promotion to investment, each project must be assessable in terms of cash flow, permits, contracts, costs, customers and financing structure.

04 · FORUM ≠ DEAL CLOSING

Presenting a project does not mean closing an investment deal

A forum can lead to meetings, due diligence and financing discussions. It has a valuable role in developing potential projects.

But visibility, meetings and contracts are different stages. PARAGUAY INSIGHT does not treat participation in the Forum as proof of investment put into action.

05 · THE CONVERSION CHAIN

Investor Meeting → Term Sheet → Financing → CAPEX → Operation

Our editorial framework separates investor meetings, term sheets, credit approval, disbursement, construction and operation.

This is not an official government performance indicator. It helps assess whether international interest actually becomes installed assets and productive activity.

06 · WHAT TO WATCH NEXT

Contracts, financing, permits, construction and operation

The next milestones to watch are investment contracts, debt or equity agreements, permits, engineering/procurement/construction contracts, the start of works and commissioning.

It also matters how domestic tools such as Paraguay Industrial and FOGAIN can complement international capital within a broader financing structure.
